Terms & Conditions

We are Warehouse direct part of Duotool ltd   a company registered at Esslemont ind est Ellon   Aberdeenshire (105334). When you (the person named on the order) place an order with us we do business together under the following terms:

 

Prices

We offer goods for sale through, our website www.whdirect.co.uk, and catalogue . Our prices vary from time to time and printed material such catalogues or advertisements will always show the dates when the prices are valid. During the valid period of a catalogue we may offer things at a lower price. This could be a special offer or just an everyday price cut. Our website will always show one price, the lowest price we have, and if you order from a catalogue which quotes a higher price we undertake to process your order at the lower price. We will always use the lowest price we are quoting at the time that your order is processed and this will never exceed the valid prices published in our catalogue.

 

VAT

The prices we quote always include VAT at the applicable rate.

 

Payment

All of our goods are offered to you on a payment with order basis. Your payment is due to us when we dispatch your goods and is accepted by most credit cards, debit cards or by cheque. . We will only accept your order if it is accompanied by payment in full. We provide credit accounts to a limited number of Schools, Local Authorities and Government funded establishments under separate Terms of Business.

 

Dispatch

We will normally dispatch your goods on the same working day, provided that your order is received by us before 5pm. The goods become your property as soon as they are dispatched to you.

 

Delivery

We will deliver your order to any UK address. Our standard delivery uses a national carrier and in most cases you will receive your goods within 3-5 working days . If you live off the beaten track or the carrier finds your address more difficult to find your delivery may take a little longer. With some of the more remote areas such as the highlands of Scotland delivery can take several days. If a quicker delivery is important you may select one of our premium delivery options. Availability of these depends on where you are and in some cases the time of day. This will be confirmed with you at the time you place your order. If you order by post and request a delivery option that is not available to your location you will not be charged for it.

 

Receiving Orders

Unless we have your written authorisation, we will always require an authorised signature when delivering goods to you.

 

Availability

We aim to keep sufficient stock so that we never run out. However on occasions of unexpectedly high demand we may unfortunately run out. If this happens we may delay dispatch of your order for a couple of days while new stock is obtained. If you have opted for a premium delivery option, or we are expecting a longer delay we will use the information you have provided with your order to keep you informed of progress. You may contact us at any time to check on the progress of your order.

 

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your order you may do so at any time until we dispatch it. Your order will be packed and dispatched in a very short period. If you wish to cancel the order you should do so by telephone and we will confirm that it has been possible.

30 Day Refund

Once your order has been dispatched or collected you may return the goods for a full refund, without giving a reason, provided the goods are in the original packaging and condition and you do so within 30 days of the purchase. In this situation it is your responsibility to return the goods to us. We can assist you in arranging the return of goods if you wish.

 

12 Month Guarantee

If any of the goods we supply fails to perform satisfactorily due to faulty materials or workmanship you may return them to us for a refund at any time in the first 12 months. All we ask is that you provide an explanation of the problem and details of the purchase. Some of the goods we sell carry longer manufacturers warranties, our guarantee is intended to give you additional piece of mind and not as a substitute for the manufacturers warranty.

 

Our Mistakes

We are constantly updating our products prices and offers. We are confident of our technology and staff but acknowledge that human error is always possible. If goods are offered for sale incorrectly we will always try to honour our offer. There may be rare circumstances where it is not possible for us to do so. In such cases we will contact you and explain the situation, if we are unable to resolve the matter fairly with you we reserve the right to refuse your order and refund any payment you may have made.

 

Unforeseen Circumstances

Where things like strikes, wars, acts of terrorism or even small things like power cuts interfere in our business with you, we will do our best to keep things going. We shall have no liability to you for any failure which is due to such unforeseen circumstances or any other situation outside our control.

 

Age Restrictions

Age restrictions apply to the supply of some goods. By ordering these goods you confirm that you are over 18 and that the person receiving the delivery is also over 18.

 

Liability

Nothing in these Terms of Business is intended to affect your statutory rights or to limit our liability for death, personal injury or fraudulent misrepresentation resulting from our negligence. If there is a problem you may receive a refund or replacement under the terms of our Guarantee. Our liability to you will always be limited to a full refund of the goods purchased. We will not compensate for delivery delays or failures unless you have requested a premium delivery option. In these circumstances our liability to you will be limited to a refund of the delivery charges you have paid. Our liability to you specifically excludes compensation for indirect or consequential loss or damage however it arises and except as described above will always be limited to a refund of your payment.

 

Law

These terms of business will be interpreted and adjudicated under Scottish law.

When you place an order online with Warehouse Direct the order once completed is sent for processing, our system does not allow online stock checking so we will inform you within 24 hours if any items on your order are unavailable. Goods will be delivered within 3-5 working days (as standard).

In the event of an order being placed which has items out of stock, only the items in stock will be despatched. Items which are out of stock will not be held in our system and will not be delivered at a later date. If required these items would need to be purchased on a future order. Only items in stock on the day of order are calculated towards the value required for free delivery or any promotions advertised.

We deliver free to the Mainland UK providing your order contains over £75 of in stock goods on the day of ordering. Items out of stock will not be counted towards the £75 carriage limit. If your order is below £75 there will be a charge of £8 for standard carriage (3-5 day delivery) priority delivery, if you require your goods fast you can choose from our priority delivery options. N.B Please note that we apply an offshore carriage charge to the following areas Northern Ireland , Isle of Man , Shetland , Orkney , Isle of Skye , Isle of Lewis .Isle of Arran , Isle of Mull , Isle of Harris , (etc) . If you are unclear as to the carriage rate You are classed as please either e-mail
sales@whdirect.co.uk  or call on 0845 600 2601 Jersey and Guernsey will have a carriage charge of 30gbp applied . When ordering online  Our system allows you to choose your own method of carriage , this therefore means you Can choose a carriage method which is not correct for your area , if a customer enters the Wrong method of carriage a member of staff will call you or e-mail you to to advise you What the correct charge for carriage to your area is , this charge will then be amended on your Order . When and order is placed online you will receive an automatically generated e-mail Showing details of your order Warehouse Direct reserves the right to make a change to a Carriage charge if the customer has simply chosen a carriage charge which is not applicable to Their given area .

In the event of a query on your delivery , any goods missing from your order, damaged items you can either email your query to sales@whdirect.co.uk , or call 0845 600 2601.

Returns
Warehouse direct endeavours to deliver your goods in perfect condition , however in the event of goods arriving damaged or broken please ensure you call a member of our customers services Dept on 0845 600 2601 or e-mail us
sales@whdirect.co.uk so we can rectify the problem quickly. We can only make good on items which are damaged or broken with 72 hours of receipt so please do check your goods immediately on delivery. If you receive goods which you are not happy with for whatever reason and you wish to return them then this must be done at the customers cost  , upon receipt of the goods in their original packaging and unused a credit / refund will be raised but only for the original value of the items not for carriage incurred , in the event of an item being returned under warranty (see terms and conditions) we will refund up to 10gbp for carriage incurred . If goods sent are defective , not  a advertised , or not fit for purpose - Warehouse Direct will arrange uplift or replacement of these items at no cost to the customer.
